October's REALTOR® Spotlight: Faye Maraman
Congratulations to Faye Maraman REALTOR® at Real Estate One— Clinton Twp. on being MiRealSource’s October REALTOR® Spotlight Winner!
Faye’s nomination was unique in the sense she received a nomination from a past client, & now turned REALTOR®, as a thanks for her services, inspiration and support.
Faye is such a kind-hearted person, who is very easy to talk to and makes everyone feel valued and important. It was a pleasure getting to know Faye even more during this experience and believe her nomination was well deserved.
Tell us about your real estate career (title, office, years, specialties, designations, etc.)
I’ve been a Realtor® for 13 years, specialized in buyers and all types of listings at Real Estate One. I also specialized in short sales and foreclosures during the low market, which I am proud of because it made me adaptable and persistent.
You’ve been nominated for being such a supportive, kind and knowledgeable person from a previous client and now a fellow agent; in what ways do you show special support to your clients and other agents?
I’m extremely humbled and honored to receive this recognition and to be nominated. I focus on building relationships and helping others. I strive to keep learning and share that knowledge and support wherever I can.
You currently have a team of 7 agents working for you; what about working in a team is different than being a solo agent? (pros, cons, adjustments, tips, getting started)
I love training and, once again, building relationships to help others achieve their goals. Working as a team came even more naturally to me because prior to being a realtor®, I worked in direct sales and the training of a team. Seemed like the next step.
How did you get started in the real estate industry?
After the job market took a turn, I decided to use my skill set in sales and training, therefore real estate seemed like a great fit. It was tough getting started during the downturn of the market but it made me stronger. Getting started in short sales and foreclosures allowed me to prove myself—and build relationships with those buyers who’ve turned into re-occurring clients and friends.
Which professional achievement are you most proud of?
Receiving the Real Estate HOUR All-Start Award with HOUR Magazine and MiRealSource. I also received the honor of being one the top producing agents in my brokerage and the President’s Circle Award for my support with REALTOR® Political Action Committees like RPAC.
What is the most common “tid-bit” of information most people don’t know being a REALTOR®?
It takes a persistent, hardworking personality. It’s important to show up EVERYDAY in some fashion to make a difference in the industry and your career.
What piece(s) of technology do you incorporate into your business practices?
I use CloudCMA and ListTrac’s Single Property Website through MiRealSource, as well as DocuSign for digital forms and signatures. I also use Social Media to build online relationships and for lead capture.
What is the most rewarding aspect of being REALTOR®?
Helping clients achieve their goals and home ownership dreams. Training and helping my teammates is also very rewarding.
What is the most difficult aspect of being a REALTOR®?
The hours and time management are probably the most difficult part of being a Realtor®
